Adolescent Treatment

The majority of adolescent orthodontic treatment is done as a single phase when all of the adult teeth have recently erupted. This is an ideal time for treatment because facial growth and development is still incomplete, allowing Dr. Kamelchuk to work with your child’s growth to move the relatively immature adult teeth.

Timing of adolescent treatment is important, so it’s recommended that an orthodontic examination be done as early as age 7 so an optimal treatment plan can be outlined. If that time has passed, it’s never too late for an examination so Dr. Kamelchuk may evaluate a patient’s situation and orthodontic needs.
